Truly our favorite immaculate hit! We got to wondering who is the cute boy in the video is, and more mysteriously, where is he now? A remarkably brief web search uncovered that our shy, but curious Madonna-pal is Felix Howard, a 13 year old UK dancer who got the job for the video, but couldn't get a proper work visa to tour with Madonna the following year (perhaps the live performance of this song majorly resembled the video), and was replaced. This seems to have proved to be minor setback in the boy's career, as he quickly fell off the face of the planet for a long, long time.

Actually, for a short time Howard's mug could be seen on the cover of some medical magazines when he spoke about Vitiligo in his teens--the same skin pignant-altering-bleaching-whatever condition that Michael Jackson was sounding off about right after he paid a mad scientist a billion dollars to turn him white. As it turns out, Felix pressed on in show biz world, but he was into music, not acting, and performed in miserably-failed bands all throughout the 90s. (We guess his short stint as Madonna's sidekick was not a venue-filler, though it's possible her toothbrush on display could usher in a sizable crowd.)

But that was not end of the story for the lucky boy who grew up while we weren't looking, no--he climbed his way back up to the top, writing songs for Amy Winehouse, Kylie Minogue, as well as working with lots of other up-and-coming poptarts--and actually became the VP of the A&M label in 2008. So, basically he's a gazillionaire, and knows a lot of important people. Good for him. In fact, that's too good; we were hoping for a nice, juicy failure to make us feel better. Madonna's Midas-Touch may take twenty-two years, but it's bound to turn every day nobodies to gold (blotchy, pigment-less gold as it may be) eventually. Unfortunately, in the most disturbing update of all, Felix now looks like this:
